If 12-year-old Hilary Martin of Central Florida is any indication, the future of bass fishing is bright.
Late last year, Hilary broke her own personal best when she pulled a monster bass out of the weeds while fishing with her dad.
I should probably mention that her dad is legendary angler Scott Martin, so she learned from the very best. But she does all the hard work here, enticing a strike and setting the hook HARD.
Impressive patience on her part. Good thing she didn’t set the hook when her dad told her to!
With some support from her dad, she gets the hawg into the boat…and they both proceed to go crazy.
After some high-fives and fist bumps, they weigh it out to 9.1 pounds. Pretty impressive! That’s a memory that’ll last a lifetime. Always great to see young people enjoying the outdoors.
