“I’ve been fascinated with grizzly bears my entire life, so to be able to capture this image was one of the highlights of my trip to Montana,” says Stewart. “What’s such a joy for me about this particular image is that when I took it, I was actually thinking to myself how thankful I am for telephoto lenses that enable us to get so close to these amazing animals now. I’ve been in photography for over 35 years now, so I was taking pictures back in the days of 35mm film. And to be able to have the equipment and lenses that are available for us today gives us such an amazing advantage as photographers. I am very thankful for it.”
