Olympus today has introduced the Ultimate Nature Kit, a very impressive offer that will especially appeal to nature photographers. Olympus is essentially offering a free camera body with the purchase of three Olympus lenses (7-14mm ƒ/2.8, 40-150mm ƒ/2.8, 300mm ƒ/4) that are ideal for landscape and wildlife photography. With the purchase of these lenses together for $5,799, you can choose to receive the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II, the OM-D E-M1 Mark III or the OM-D E-M1X for free. That’s up to $3,000 in savings, depending on the camera you select.
With the lenses included in the Ultimate Nature Kit, you’ll have covered a focal length range equivalent to 14mm at the wide end to a 600mm telephoto. We like the OM-D system a lot, especially for wildlife photography. The M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 300MM F4.0 IS PRO included in the Ultimate Nature Kit is a lens we talk about frequently for wildlife and sports, as it provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 600mm, but measures only about 9 inches in length and weighs just 2.8 pounds. That’s about one-third of the weight and half the length of a full-frame system 600mm prime lens (which also cost much, much more). It’s a great example of the size and weight advantages of the Olympus OM-D Micro Four Thirds system.
At $5,799, the Ultimate Nature Kit isn’t cheap if you didn’t wake up this morning ready to buy a new camera system, but it’s such a good deal. The offer is valid for U.S. customers until July 5, 2020, so you’ve got a bit of time to think about it, but not too long. If you have been considering picking up the Olympus system, or adding to your current setup, check out the details at getolympus.com/freeomd.
